iMall sits at 5 Marine Parade Central, on a plot that spent decades as the Republic Theatre — a Shaw Organization cinema that opened in the early 1980s, was later carved into a three-screen multiplex in 1988, and eventually closed as newer megaplexes drew the crowds away. The site was redeveloped into today’s eight-storey mall, which opened its doors in June 2025.
It’s a compact mall by design. Rather than competing with Parkway Parade’s retail scale next door, iMall leans into F&B and family entertainment: Toast Box, EAT. (the mall’s only halal F&B stall), Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea, and a cluster of Sichuan and grilled-fish stalls sit alongside HappyWiz, an 8,611 sqft indoor playground billed as the biggest in the east, with a 7.5m slide and a ball pit. There’s also a Paco Funworld arcade, a 24-hour gym, and a handful of aesthetic clinics.
