Over 1200+ Tuition Centres

Orchard Towers doesn’t get much attention these days for anything other than the bars on its lower floors, but there are two tuition centres quietly operating higher up in the same building at 400 Orchard Road — and both have been there long enough to build a real track record. We checked every listing tagged “Orchard” in our directory against its actual GPS coordinates rather than trusting the category label, since a few of them turned out to be in Delfi Orchard or Forum The Shopping Mall next door, not Orchard Towers itself.

Only two centres are genuinely inside Orchard Towers: Everyday Tuition on the fifth floor, and Inspire Education Centre on the third. Between them they cover Primary right through JC, including a few subjects — Economics, General Paper, History, Geography — that most tuition centres this close to town don’t bother touching. Here’s what each one offers.

Everyday Tuition (Orchard Towers)

1. Everyday Tuition (Orchard Towers)

Address: 400 Orchard Road #05-26, Singapore 238875
Phone: +65 8500 8938 | Website: everydaytuition.com

Everyday Tuition’s Orchard branch also serves as its headquarters. It’s run by Dr Anngieline Lu, a former MOE teacher who went on to spend seven years training other MOE teachers and has lectured at both NUS and SMU. The centre’s own site cites a track record of 95% of students scoring A’s and B’s, and the pitch behind it is fairly plain: match a student with a tutor who explains concepts clearly, then build up from wherever that student currently stands rather than running everyone through the same pace. Lessons run in both group and one-to-one formats across English, Math, Science, and Chinese.

  • Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science
  • Secondary: Additional Math, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Elementary Math, Math, Physics, Science
  • Trial class availability isn’t listed — worth asking directly when you call.

Inspire Education Centre (Orchard)

2. Inspire Education Centre (Orchard)

Address: 400 Orchard Road, #03-41, Orchard Towers (front block), Singapore 238875
Phone: +65 8699 5629 | Website: inspire-edu.sg

Inspire is the one to call if a subject involves building an argument rather than solving an equation. Its tutors teach essay technique as its own skill — structuring a response, using evidence, developing a line of analysis — and apply it across Social Studies, History, Geography, English, Literature, and General Paper. For Economics specifically, the centre says it leans on active retrieval over passive listening: a student has to explain a concept back in their own words before it counts as learned. It’s also the only one of the two that reaches JC level, with Economics, GP, and a full spread of humanities and sciences on offer.

  • Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science
  • Secondary: Additional Math, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Elementary Math, English, Geography, History, Math, Physics, Science
  • JC: Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Economics, General Paper, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, Principles of Accounting
  • No trial class currently offered — enquire directly about a placement assessment instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are both centres actually inside Orchard Towers?

Yes — Everyday Tuition (#05-26) and Inspire Education Centre (#03-41) are both physically located within Orchard Towers at 400 Orchard Road. We checked coordinates rather than category tags for this, since a few tuition listings tagged “Orchard” in our directory turn out to sit in nearby buildings instead.

What about E & P Training Centre — isn’t that at Orchard Towers too?

It looked that way on a first pass by distance, but no. E & P Training Centre’s actual address is 402 Orchard Road, Delfi Orchard — the building next door, not Orchard Towers. Worth double-checking with the centre directly if you’re deciding between the two buildings.

Is there a centre here for JC-level Economics or General Paper?

Yes — Inspire Education Centre teaches both, along with History, Geography, and Principles of Accounting at JC level. Everyday Tuition’s Orchard branch stops at Secondary.

Are there other education-related businesses at Orchard Towers?

A few, according to the building’s own tenant directory — Edupro, an Italian language school, a Spanish language school, and a Mandarin-focused study-abroad consultancy all have units there. None of them are academic tuition centres in the same sense as Everyday Tuition or Inspire, and none are currently listed on tuitioncentres.sg.

Does either centre offer a trial class?

Inspire currently doesn’t list one — ask directly about a placement assessment instead. Everyday Tuition doesn’t have trial availability listed either way, so it’s worth checking when you call.

Why is this list only two centres long?

Because that’s genuinely how many are inside the building. Orchard Towers spent decades known mainly for the nightlife on its lower floors, and only started actively courting tuition centres and other family-friendly tenants after a refresh announced in December 2023 — so the tuition footprint here is still small next to newer malls.

About Orchard Towers

Orchard Towers opened in 1975 as an 18-storey mixed-use development, originally built with a roof garden, a 450-seat theatre, around 150 retail units, a supermarket, and freehold apartments sitting above the retail podium. A cinema on the fourth floor was converted into a nightclub in the early 1980s, and by the mid-2000s the building had built a reputation for its concentration of bars, clubs, and other nightlife venues on the lower floors — a reputation that’s stuck around, even though most of daytime Orchard Towers now looks like any other office-and-retail building, with tailors, opticians, money changers, and F&B tucked in among the offices.

That’s shifting, at least on paper. In December 2023, the building’s management announced a refresh plan — a new facade, and a push to bring in more “family-friendly” tenants, tuition centres and F&B outlets among them, to replace shuttered massage parlours and nightspots. In January 2025, Cornerstone Community Church bought around 19,000 sq ft on the fourth floor for S$54.5 million, which is about as clear a signal as any that the tenant mix here is changing. Per the building’s own shop directory, Orchard Towers currently lists around 85 tenants in total, and only a handful are education-related — Everyday Tuition, Edupro, an Italian language school, a Spanish language school, and a study-abroad consultancy.

By MRT: Orchard MRT station (NS22/TE14) is the nearest interchange, roughly 600m away — about an 8-minute walk down Orchard Road. Exit 1, at Tang Plaza, is the one to use; it comes out closest to the Claymore Road end of Orchard Road, right where Orchard Towers sits.

By bus: There’s a bus stop directly outside Orchard Towers, plus another about two minutes’ walk away, both served by services running along the Orchard Road corridor. Check current routes before you go — service numbers along this stretch get adjusted periodically.

By car: Orchard Towers runs its own carpark at 400 Orchard Road, open 24 hours (7am to 7am the next day). Rates are S$4 for the first hour and S$2 per subsequent 30 minutes, capped at S$16 a day. For a typical one-hour lesson, budget around S$4; for 90 minutes, closer to S$6. Rates are set by the carpark operator and can change, so check the gantry or your ticket on the way in.

Prices, subjects, and trial class availability are updated periodically — always confirm directly with the centre before enrolling. Browse the full directory of Orchard tuition centres for more options.
