Changi City Point sits in Changi Business Park, right next to Expo MRT station — closer to Changi Airport and Simei than to Tampines town centre proper. It’s worth saying upfront: there isn’t a single tuition or enrichment centre operating inside the mall itself. It’s an outlet-shopping destination, not a family-and-education mall the way Compass One or Tampines Mall are.
So if you’re near Changi City Point and looking for tuition, the closest genuine cluster with real choice is over in Tampines — roughly 2.1 to 2.3km away, a short drive or bus ride rather than a walk. We pulled every tuition centre in the area and sorted by actual distance from the mall rather than guessing; these seven are the nearest with an established presence. We’ve been direct about the distance for each one below, and there’s a note on an even closer option (Simei) in the FAQ.

Worth flagging clearly: this one is music instruction, not academic tuition — piano, violin, cello, guitar, drums, vocals, and ukulele, plus music theory, taught since 1985. The school’s own positioning is deliberately low-pressure: no prior experience needed, lessons paced to the individual student rather than graded competitively. A paid trial class is available if you want to test the fit before committing.
- Instruments: Piano, violin, cello, guitar (acoustic/classical/electric/bass), drums, vocals, ukulele, music theory
- Paid trial class available

Phone: +65 6784 0790 | Website: simplyeducation.com.sg
Simply Education runs small classes of around 4-6 students, leaning on detailed worked examples and repeated reinforcement — revision lessons and extra remediation sessions on top of the main lesson, rather than a one-pass syllabus run. It covers the standard PSLE-through-A-Level spread, with exam technique folded into each subject rather than taught as a separate add-on.
- Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science
- Secondary: Additional Math, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Elementary Math, English, Math, Physics, Science
- JC: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics
- No trial class currently offered

Maximind’s own site wasn’t accessible to us at the time of writing, so we can’t point to a specific teaching claim beyond what’s on its listing here. - Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science
- Secondary: Additional Math, Chemistry, Chinese, Elementary Math, English, Math, Physics, Science

Phone: +65 9011 3811 | Website: iqandeqeducation.com.sg
IQ & EQ has been running for over two decades and keeps its groups small — 4 to 6 students per 2-hour session. It also runs free classes for students who are struggling academically, and says it does counselling work to figure out why a student’s disengaged rather than just drilling harder. It’s MOE-registered and covers the full range from preschool through JC, with a free trial class on offer if you want to see a session before signing up.
- Preschool: English, Math, Phonics
- Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science

6. Jc Economics Education Centre (Tampines)
Address: Block 201E Tampines Street 23, #02-106, Singapore 527201 (~2.3km from Changi City Point)
Phone: +65 8251 3684 | Website: jceconomics.com.sg
This one is Economics only, run by Dr Fok across a handful of branches (Bishan, Tampines, Bukit Timah), covering both H1 and H2 syllabuses. The teaching leans on real-world cases to anchor the theory, and on template-based model answers for the exam-format questions — data response, case study, essays — which is a fairly standard approach for JC Econs but one this centre applies consistently across its H1/H2 classes. No trial class is listed.
- JC: Economics (H1 and H2)
- No trial class currently offered

7. Cleverland Tutorial Centre (Tampines Main Branch)
Address: Block 201E Tampines Street, #04-104/106/108, Singapore 527201 (~2.3km from Changi City Point)
Phone: +65 6787 0562 | Website: cleverland.com.sg
Cleverland sticks closely to the official MOE/SEAB syllabus rather than running a separate curriculum alongside it, pairing concept teaching with tutorial-style practice. Its PSLE Math programme centres on model-drawing technique — the visual bar-model method most Singapore primary schools already use, just with more repetition. The centre’s founder holds a Master’s in Education Management and has over 20 years in private education, and tutors are described as holding university or postgraduate qualifications in their subjects.
- Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science
- Secondary: Additional Math, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Elementary Math, English, Math, Physics, Science
- JC: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, General Paper, Mathematics, Physics
- Paid trial class available

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a tuition centre inside Changi City Point itself?
No. Changi City Point’s tenant mix is built around outlet and discount retail — there’s no tuition, enrichment, or education tenant on its directory. Everything on this list is in Tampines, roughly 2.1–2.3km away.
Isn’t there anywhere closer than Tampines?
Technically, yes — Simei, and specifically the Eastpoint Mall cluster, sits around 1.0–1.4km from Changi City Point, slightly nearer than any of the Tampines options above. We focused this list on Tampines because it’s the more established cluster with more choice across subjects and levels; if Simei works better for your commute, it’s worth a separate look.
Which centre on this list is closest to Changi City Point?
Lemon Tree Chinese Learning Centre, at Tampines Changkat Community Club, is the nearest at roughly 2.1km — still a drive or bus ride, not a walk.
Which is best for a younger child just starting tuition?
IQ & EQ Tuition Centre is the only one on this list with a dedicated Preschool programme (English, Math, Phonics), and it offers a free trial class if you want to sit in before committing.
Is there a Chinese-language specialist here?
Lemon Tree Chinese Learning Centre focuses solely on Chinese, from Nursery 2 through Primary 6. Several of the other centres — IQ & EQ, Simply Education, Maximind, Cleverland — also teach Chinese as one subject among several, rather than as their core focus.
What about JC Economics specifically?
Jc Economics Education Centre is the specialist here, covering both H1 and H2 syllabuses. IQ & EQ and Cleverland also offer Economics at JC level as part of a broader subject spread.
Do any of these offer a trial class?
IQ & EQ offers a free trial class, Manning Music School and Cleverland offer a paid trial class, and the rest don’t currently list one — worth calling ahead to ask about a placement assessment instead.
About Changi City Point
Changi City Point (5 Changi Business Park Central 1, Singapore 486038) was built between 2010 and 2011 by Ascendas Land and Frasers Property, opening on 6 November 2011. Frasers Centrepoint Trust bought it in 2014 for S$305 million, and it changed hands again in November 2023 when The Elegant Group acquired it for S$338 million — the mall’s current owner and manager.
It’s a four-storey mall of around 650,000 sq ft, with roughly 140 stores and seven anchor tenants. What sets it apart from a typical suburban mall is the tenant mix: Changi City Point has built its identity around factory outlets and discounted branded stores, which is why it draws shoppers from well outside its immediate neighbourhood despite the location. There’s no library, no dedicated kids’ playground, and no tuition centre on its directory — the family-amenities angle just isn’t part of what this particular mall offers.
One timely note if you’re planning a trip soon: the mall’s free weekend shuttle bus service is scheduled to end on 26 July 2026, per its own announcement. The weekday shuttle (11:30am–2pm) isn’t affected.
Getting to Changi City Point: MRT & parking
By MRT: Expo Station (CG1 on the East-West Line’s Changi Airport branch, DT35 on the Downtown Line) is directly across the road — about a 5-minute walk. Use Exit B, which is also where bus services 20 and 118 stop.
By bus: Services 20 and 118 both serve Expo Station Exit B, right by the mall. Changi City Point also runs its own free shuttle: weekdays 11:30am–2pm at roughly 15-minute intervals, and (until 26 July 2026) weekends and public holidays 11:30am–8pm at roughly 30-minute intervals.
By car: The mall has an underground car park (independent parking-rate trackers put it at around 925 lots, though we couldn’t confirm that figure on the mall’s own site). Changi City Point’s official site notes that carpark rates were revised with effect from 12 June 2026 — we weren’t able to pull the specific new per-hour figures from the mall’s own page at the time of writing, so rather than publish a number that might already be out of date, we’d suggest checking the rate board on arrival or the mall’s official site directly before you drive in.
Prices, subjects, and trial class availability are updated periodically — always confirm directly with the centre before enrolling. Browse the full directory of Tampines tuition centres for more options.
