Woods Square sits right across the road from Causeway Point, at the heart of the Woodlands Regional Centre — but it’s an office and retail development in its own right, not an extension of the mall. Its ground and lower floors, tucked into the two low-rise “Solo” blocks, house a small cluster of tuition and enrichment centres that a lot of parents driving past on the way to Causeway Point never notice.
We checked every listing address against Woods Square’s own two Solo towers rather than lumping it in with Causeway Point or the nearby Civic Centre. Four centres are genuinely inside Woods Square itself. Here’s what each one offers.

1. Kumon (Woods Square)
Address: 8 Woodlands Square, Woods Square (Solo 2) #04-21, Singapore 737713
Phone: +65 9641 1013 | Website: sg.kumonglobal.com
Kumon doesn’t run a fixed class syllabus the way most tuition centres do. Each child works through a sequence of worksheets at their own “just-right” level — pitched just hard enough to stretch them without stalling — and the instructor’s job is mostly observation: placing a child correctly, tracking progress, and nudging them forward rather than lecturing. It’s built for self-paced repetition rather than exam cramming, and the programme spans age groups from 3-4 right through to 13+.
- Preschool: Chinese, English, Math
- Primary: Chinese, English, Math
- Secondary: Additional Math, Chinese, Elementary Math, English, Math

2. Lighthouse Education Tuition
Address: 12 Woodlands Square, #04-62, Singapore 737715
Phone: +65 8171 5075 | Website: lighthouseeducationsg.com
Lighthouse only takes JC students, and only for three subjects — Economics, Physics, and Mathematics. Rather than working through school notes, tutors rewrite content from scratch into simplified sets built around real-life examples, and mock exams are modelled on what the school expects to come up at A-Levels rather than generic practice papers. The brand’s own figures claim 95% of students land an A or B grade, and every student improving by at least 3 grades — worth verifying against a trial consult before committing, since a JC-only centre like this lives or dies on exam results.
- JC: Economics, Mathematics, Physics
- Paid trial class available

3. Sophia Education (Woodlands Square)
Address: 12 Woodlands Square, #02-81 (Woodsquare), Singapore 737715
Phone: +65 3129 4400 | Website: sophiaeducation.sg
Sophia Education has been running since 2012 and covers the widest span on this list — English at primary level, then a full secondary and JC spread across Math, the sciences, Economics, and General Paper. Lessons follow whatever the child’s own school is covering that term rather than a separate fixed curriculum, and both small-group and one-to-one formats are offered, in-person or online. The centre publishes a 78% A-grade rate at A-Level and offers a 14-day money-back guarantee if the first lesson doesn’t work out — a low-risk way to test the fit before committing to a term.
- Primary: English
- Secondary: Additional Math, Biology, Chemistry, Elementary Math, English, Math, Science
- JC: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, General Paper, Mathematics, Physics
- Paid trial class available

4. PlayFACTO School (Woods Square)
Address: 8 Woodlands Square, #04-24/25/26/27, Woods Square Solo 2 (opp. Causeway Point), Singapore 737713
Phone: +65 9773 4336 | Website: playfactoschool.com.sg
PlayFACTO skips worksheet drilling in favour of manipulatives and storytelling — its Creative Math programme is built around hands-on materials and narrative rather than repetition, aimed at building number sense in children aged 3 to 10. For slightly older kids, its Coding & Robotics track uses MODI IoT kits and VEX Robotics to teach computational thinking through building and programming rather than screen time alone. It’s the pick on this list for parents who want something that doesn’t feel like a second round of school.
- Preschool: Math, Robotics
- Primary: Chinese, Math
- No trial class currently available

About Woods Square
Woods Square is at 12 Woodlands Square, District 25, on a site held on a 99-year lease from 15 July 2014. It obtained its Temporary Occupation Permit on 5 February 2020 and is marketed as the first strata-titled office development in the Woodlands Regional Centre — a joint project between Far East Organization, Far East Orchard, and Sekisui House.
The development is four blocks on an 18,568.8 sqm site: two taller office towers (16 and 12 storeys) plus two 4-storey “Solo” loft-office blocks, Solo 1 and Solo 2, where strata units run from 549 sq ft and Solo loft offices from 721 to 1,453 sq ft. Anchor tenants include AIA Singapore, Anytime Fitness, Superland Pre-School, and The Write Connection, alongside a retail and F&B mix and an on-site childcare centre. The upper floors also carry a rooftop swimming pool, a gym, and sky-deck pavilions, though those are amenities for office tenants rather than something a visiting parent would use.
What matters more for a tuition run: Woods Square is directly connected to Causeway Point, and sits alongside Woodlands Civic Centre and Woodlands Regional Library as part of the same Woodlands Town Centre cluster — so a lesson here can easily be paired with a library visit or grocery run without moving the car.
Getting to Woods Square: MRT & parking
By MRT: It’s a roughly 5-minute sheltered walk from Woodlands MRT Interchange (NS9/TE2) on the North South Line and Thomson-East Coast Line.
By bus: The Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub — an underground, air-conditioned bus interchange that reopened on 13 June 2021 after a five-year upgrade — sits right next to Woods Square, running 23 services across SMRT Buses (14 routes), Tower Transit Singapore (7 routes), and SBS Transit (2 routes). A separate temporary interchange nearby covers 5 more routes, including the cross-border service 950 to JB Sentral.
By car: The Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) ends at the Woodlands Checkpoint; take Exit 10B onto Woodlands Road/Woodlands Centre Road to reach the town centre where Woods Square sits.
Parking: Woods Square has its own car park with 316 standard lots plus 4 accessible lots, but current hourly rates aren’t published on the building’s own site — check the signage on arrival or call ahead if you need to budget in advance. Causeway Point’s adjacent public car park, directly connected to Woods Square, is the more commonly used option if you’d rather look up posted rates before you drive over.
Prices, subjects, and trial class availability are updated periodically — always confirm directly with the centre before enrolling. Browse the full directory of Woodlands tuition centres for more options.
