Find Any Tuition Centres and Enrichment Classes

Lot One Shoppers’ Mall has been the anchor of Choa Chu Kang town since August 1996, and it sits right on top of Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT station and the bus interchange — which makes it an easy stop for a lesson on the way home from school. We checked every tuition centre listing tagged to Choa Chu Kang against its actual coordinates rather than trusting the category label alone, since the CSV also lists several centres a few hundred metres away at Choa Chu Kang Centre across the road, and those aren’t the same building.

Only two tuition centres are genuinely inside Lot One itself, both confirmed against the mall’s own tenant directory: Stalford Learning Centre on the third floor and Mavis Tutorial Centre on the fourth. No padding the list with anything down the road — here’s what each one offers.

Stalford Learning Centre (Lot One)

1. Stalford Learning Centre (Lot One)

Address: 21 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4 #03-14, Singapore 689812
Phone: +65 6242 3233 | Website: stalford.edu.sg

Stalford’s tagline is “Proven Teachers, Proven Methods, Proven Results,” and it backs that up with more than 25 years in the business and a bench of over 600 tutors that includes textbook authors and former school HODs. Lessons stick close to the current MOE syllabus, working through concept teaching, worked examples, and exam-format practice in that order. The Lot One branch runs the full spread from preschool through secondary, so it’s a workable option if you’ve got kids at different levels and would rather not juggle two centres.

  • Preschool: Chinese, English, Math, Phonics
  • Primary: Chinese, English, Math, Science
  • Secondary: Additional Math, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Elementary Math, English, Math, Physics, Science

Mavis Tutorial Centre (Lot One)

2. Mavis Tutorial Centre (Lot One)

Address: Lot One Shoppers’ Mall #04-05/06, Singapore 689812
Phone: +65 9170 3832 | Website: mavistutorial.com

Mavis has been running since 1986, which makes it one of the older names in Singapore tuition, and the approach hasn’t drifted far from the basics: nail the fundamentals before moving to harder problem-solving, with small class sizes so a tutor can catch a gap before it compounds. Study materials get updated to track syllabus and exam-format changes each year. The Lot One outlet is a short walk from the MRT exit, which makes it a reasonable pick if you’re commuting rather than driving in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these the only tuition centres inside Lot One Shoppers’ Mall?

Based on the mall’s own tenant directory and coordinate data, yes — Stalford Learning Centre (#03-14) and Mavis Tutorial Centre (#04-05/06) are the two tuition centres physically inside Lot One. Several other centres are tagged “Choa Chu Kang” in general directories but actually sit in Choa Chu Kang Centre across the road, or further out near Keat Hong, Sunshine Place, or Yew Tee.

Do either of these centres offer a trial class?

Neither Stalford nor Mavis currently lists a trial class for the Lot One branch. Call ahead to ask about a placement assessment instead — availability can change, so it’s worth confirming before you commit to a package.

Which centre should I pick if my kids are at different levels?

Both Stalford and Mavis run the full range from preschool through secondary with a near-identical subject spread, so either can cover siblings at different stages under one roof. The practical tie-breaker is usually unit location (third floor versus fourth) and which timing slots are open.

Is Lot One easy to reach without a car?

Yes — Lot One sits directly above Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT station and the bus interchange, so most families arrive on foot from the platform rather than driving in.

What if I’d rather look at centres near Choa Chu Kang Centre or Yew Tee instead?

Those are different buildings a few hundred metres from Lot One, each with their own tuition centres — worth checking the full Choa Chu Kang directory below if Lot One’s two options don’t fit your schedule.

About Lot One Shoppers’ Mall

Lot One opened in August 1996 as the first major shopping mall built for Choa Chu Kang town, developed by City Developments Limited. The original mix included a Shaw Theatres cinema, an NTUC FairPrice supermarket, a Seiyu department store, a public library, a bowling alley, and an arcade alongside over 100 specialty shops — the standard suburban-mall lineup of its era. CapitaLand bought the mall in 2005, and it’s since passed to CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust’s management.

The first big renovation started in July 2007: a four-storey retail extension, the food court and library both moved to higher floors, shop layouts reconfigured, and a rooftop garden with playground facilities added, finishing in late 2008. More recent changes have kept the mall current — the cinema doubled its screen count and reopened in September 2021, the library reopened the same year after its own refresh, BHG department store closed in May 2023 and was replaced by Cotton On and Uniqlo by November 2023, and Harvey Norman opened in June 2025. The mall now spans about 301,515 sq ft across six floors with roughly 148 stores.

  • NTUC FairPrice supermarket — useful for a grocery run while a child is in a lesson.
  • Public library — a quiet spot to wait or get homework done between classes.
  • Rooftop garden and playground — added in the 2007–2008 renovation, still there for a younger sibling to run around.
  • Cinema — Shaw Theatres, expanded and reopened in 2021, if a lesson gets bookended with a movie.
